The SoBo Five 2026

The SoBo Five, a 5-mile road race organized by Littledown Harriers, begins and ends at SOBO Beach in Southbourne. This summer evening event includes number collection prior to the start, a DJ-led warm-up at 7pm, and the race commencing at 7:30pm. The runner limit is 300, and advance entry is required. The race utilizes professional chip timing on a course officially measured and licensed by England Athletics. The course is flat and follows an out-and-back format, extending from the beach bar area towards the distant train stop on Hengistbury Head before returning. Marshals will be stationed along the route, making it suitable for runners aiming for a quick time and for local participants seeking a simple coastal race. All finishers will receive medals, while top runners compete for prizes. The evening concludes with music and drinks, with last orders at 9:30pm.
