Votwo’s September Eton Dorney Triathlons take place at Dorney Lake, the Olympic rowing venue near Windsor, on a private site secured for traffic-free racing. The event provides three distances: Super Sprint (450m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run), Sprint (750m, 20km, 5km), and Standard (1.5km, 40km, 10km). The venue features a clear lake and flat estate roads, making it suitable for first-time triathletes, club competitors aiming for a fast time, relay teams, and corporate groups.
The swim course is a clockwise rectangle marked by large inflatable buoys, with participants keeping the buoys to their right before entering transition. The bike course consists of 5km clockwise laps around the lake; riders stay to the left, overtake on the right, and race without drafting, so counting laps using a GPS or bike computer is recommended. The run follows a clockwise loop on the lakeside path and estate road, with aid stations at the far and near turn points. All finishers receive a medal, chip timing, online results, water safety support, medical staff, toilets, and complimentary on-site parking.
