At midday on race Sunday, runners gather outside the King's Head pub in Woodbridge for the Round-the-Town Charity races. The main event is an adult 10K road race, with a 1.5K race for juniors, and the series is more than four decades old.
The 10K runs around the streets of Woodbridge and draws large crowds, with people lining the route to cheer. Entries usually sell out within minutes. The race raises money for local charities, and Woodbridge School has supported it for several years; the start outside the King's Head has an extra local twist, because the school was originally founded there in the sixteenth century.
