Lusatian Race Walking is an international race walking competition held in Weinaupark, Zittau, close to the German-Czech border. It is organized by AC Rumburk and O-SEE Sports as a cross-border initiative, and it is part of the World Athletics Race Walking Tour at Silver level, holding World Ranking Competition status. The primary senior races feature half marathon and marathon distances for men and women, with 5 km and 10 km options also included. The event includes a broad range of age categories, from 1 km for U12 children through 2 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km youth races, in addition to 30 km races for masters athletes from M35 to M50. Race officials participate in the meeting as well: a judging seminar is conducted alongside the competition, involving international officials and featuring video analysis of Olympic-level race walking judging shared online.

The Marathon de Dresde is a road race held in Dresden, Saxony, on a Sunday in late October. The event offers various distances, from short city runs to 10 km, a half marathon, and a full marathon, alongside relay options and children’s and junior races. This variety caters to families, casual runners, club members, and dedicated marathoners. The course follows Dresden’s city streets, passing significant sites such as the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, and the Semperoper. The route includes some elevation changes, with the marathon featuring 139 metres of gain and the half marathon 113 metres. The event is designed around the city’s historic monuments, highlighting Dresden’s cultural heritage rather than an out-of-town course.
