Kotyogós Kávéterasz marks the start of the fourth IV. RISKA 1 Way Ticket Run, a challenging backyard ultra officially recognized as such since 2021. This event is a "race to the last person," a demanding test where strategy, stamina, and mental and physical equilibrium determine who can remain on the course the longest. Each hour, runners depart the corral for an identical loop. Completing it swiftly grants additional rest time; missing the subsequent start signifies the end of the race.
The corral is an enclosed, grassy rectangle bordered by trees, with start and finish mats positioned at opposing ends. Support crews are permitted only during rest periods. This event is for ultra runners accustomed to nighttime competition: headlamps are required from dusk until dawn, and music regulations are stringent. If no champion emerges after 48 hours, the hourly starts continue until only one male and one female runner remain.
