Festetics Castle park grounds the sixth running of this street race, with the course extending through Gyenesdiás and toward the Vonyarcvashegy side of the lake region. It is a leisure-running event for all: family runners, beginners, easy-paced runners, medium-effort regulars, runners over 60, and the more “Durva!” participants share the same weekend.
The loop features a modification: tight turns have been removed, and the Gyenesdiás section has been lengthened, which should result in a smoother run. Expect typical race-day disruptions as well, with partial road closures on the urban section and railway traffic halted between Keszthely and Vonyarcvashegy during the event. The practical advice, passed from runner to runner, is simple: “Start for Keszthely with ample time,” and allow extra space for traffic, lines, and parking.
