The Tisza-tó dam forms the core of this race, a challenging, open loop set in a "wonderful, untouched environment." It is part of the Ultra Tisza-tó event series and is an ultra-distance team event in the most straightforward definition, "a true team run." Teams of two, three, and four runners, along with larger five-to-ten-person squads and corporate teams, share the effort around the lake.
The route follows the dam encircling Tisza-tó, a section where vehicles are prohibited, aiming to give runners the impression of having the land strip to themselves. The course was extended to allow teams to effectively complete a "there and back around the lake" circuit, incorporating the recently added bridge. The finish offers a traditional reward: all participants receive a Mizuno shirt, finishers are awarded medals, and the event concludes with a bread party at Athletes Garden.
