Vaskapu is situated high in the Visegrád Hills, with the old protected shelter at the summit offering a wide view back over the town. This is a compact trail day centered around Vaskapu Étterem and the Brilli Gyula shelter. The VASKAPU TRAIL offers a straightforward route: hill, woods, marked loops, and sufficient climbing to make the short options challenging.
The “Vaskapu Csúcsfutás,” the most demanding option, begins at Márta panzió and concludes at Vaskapu following a swift climb. The “mikroTRAIL” and “TRAIL” both start and end at Vaskapu. White, yellow, and orange markers distinguish the courses, with the longer trail featuring more significant climbing. The event attracts a diverse group, from younger participants on the short course to experienced trail runners tackling the larger loop. Age limits indicate its family-friendly nature, acknowledging the terrain is not flat.
