Betekints Valley serves as the starting and finishing point, with the ride departing from the old boat lake area into the natural surroundings of the "royal city." The Veszprém Maraton kerékpáros teljesítménytúra offers a self-reliant bike tour experience rather than a closed-road race, passing through locations such as Ördög-rágta-kő, Nemesvámos, Veszprémfajsz, Királykút, Felső-hegy, the castle lookout, and Gulyadomb.
Participants will encounter a varied route featuring quiet roads, gravel sections, climbs, and a finish back in Betekints Valley. Families are welcome, and the shortest family route is specifically suggested for those with young children. However, two sections may require caution: a challenging gravel uphill and a rocky downhill where walking the bike might be advisable. Helmets are required, traffic laws must be obeyed, and navigation relies on a printed map or GPS track, contributing to an authentic touring atmosphere.
