Vaskapu is situated high in the Visegrád Hills, with the old protected shelter at the summit offering a wide view back over the town. This is a compact trail day centered around Vaskapu Étterem and the Brilli Gyula shelter. The VASKAPU TRAIL offers a straightforward route: hill, woods, marked loops, and sufficient climbing to make the short options challenging. The “Vaskapu Csúcsfutás,” the most demanding option, begins at Márta panzió and concludes at Vaskapu following a swift climb. The “mikroTRAIL” and “TRAIL” both start and end at Vaskapu. White, yellow, and orange markers distinguish the courses, with the longer trail featuring more significant climbing. The event attracts a diverse group, from younger participants on the short course to experienced trail runners tackling the larger loop. Age limits indicate its family-friendly nature, acknowledging the terrain is not flat.

From Nagymaros's Fő tér, the VIII Dunakanyar Half Marathon enters a river bend that explains runners' autumn return. It carries the spirit of "Hungary's iconic autumn half marathon": local, runner-centric, and centered on the "stunning Danube panorama" instead of city streets. The course follows an asphalt bike path alongside the Danube. Longer distances turn at Zebegény before returning to Fő tér for the finish. It attracts runners organized by runners, offering a season-ending community atmosphere. The eco-friendly setup is significant: no plastic cups or PET bottles, sorted waste collection, and a prompt to use personal cups or bottles at aid stations.

Várhegy, Víziváros, and the Danube-side cycle path give this race a local character, allowing participants to visualize the route before the start. The Esztergom Half Marathon 2026 uses a loop format instead of a point-to-point course, hosting individual runners, relay teams, and children's races on the same day.

Marathon Gútai Vízkéresz is a winter road race held in Gúta (Kolárovo), offering both a full marathon and a half marathon on an asphalt course. The race begins in the town center, with adults navigating a flat, measured route. The full marathon covers 42.195 km, and the half marathon is 21.1 km. The event is organized by the city of Gúta. Race-day registration is available at the Corvin Mátyás Primary School cafeteria, and marathon runners have a six-hour time limit. The marathon course proceeds from Gúta through Vágfűzés, Kava, and Agyagos before returning to Gúta. The half marathon follows a shorter route, from Gúta to Vágfűzés and back. The highest elevation is the bridge over the Vág river, indicating it is not a mountain race. Runners use public roads and must adhere to traffic regulations. The finish line is at the school cafeteria, where tea and fruit are provided. A warm meal with pancakes is available post-race. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers, as well as the leading runners from Csallóköz. One past edition saw 231 participants.
