The 10 Km di Nerone is a road race in Anzio, on the Lazio coast south of Rome. Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi serves as the event base, with Via Gramsci marking the start. The main race covers 10,000 meters, complemented by a 5K and both competitive and non-competitive options, catering to club runners and casual participants on the same morning. The event operates under the OPES banner, organized by Polis.Anzio Atletica and Italia Sport Running, with EvoData managing the timing.
The course is fast, flat, and entirely paved, crossing the main streets and squares of Anzio and Nettuno. Participants will pass the Castello di Nettuno and Porto di Nettuno, proceeding along Viale Mencacci and Via Ardeatina toward Rivazzurra. The return route includes local landmarks such as the Grotte di Nerone, Riviera Mallozzi, and Porto di Anzio. The race originated as a new event honoring Angela Lepore and receives support from the Lazio Region, the municipalities of Anzio and Nettuno, and Pro Loco Forte Sangallo.
