Borc Trail begins in Polcenigo, near Pordenone in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, offering autumn mountain running between Polcenigo and Budoia. The series includes 13 km, 21 km, 35 km, and 50 km trail races, alongside Easy Borc, a non-competitive walk. It typically takes place in early October. The distances are challenging for their lengths: Fast Borc has 600 m of elevation gain, Short Borc 1,200 m, Sky Borc 2,000 m, and the 50 km Borc Trail reaches 2,700 m. The longest race starts at 07:30, features five aid stations and two time gates, and qualifies for UTMB Index with 3 ITRA points.
The courses depart from one of Italy's designated beautiful villages, traverse the Gorgazzo water, and enter autumn-colored woods and mountains. The 50 km route is the most difficult, with its current design staying at higher elevations for extended periods, allowing runners more time in the upper mountain areas. This event caters to various participants: competitive races attract demanding athletes, while the non-competitive format welcomes occasional mountain walkers. The race was established to promote trail running, the local region, and nature, with its description highlighting the practical aspects of the terrain: forest, ascents, and ground requiring both physical effort and careful navigation.
