Corriamo al Tiburtino is a competitive 10 km road race held in Rome’s Tiburtino district, beginning on Via Mozart. The course is entirely flat, making it suitable for runners seeking a simple urban 10K, without hills or difficult terrain. This is a long-standing local event, now in its 23rd year, organized by CAT Sport Roma with backing from Rome’s IV Municipio and sponsorship from the Lazio Region. Entry is open to adult runners possessing the correct Italian athletics registration, recognized sports-body membership, or a RUNCARD where permitted.
The route follows the district’s lengthy, broad avenues, featuring enough out-and-back sections for spectators to encourage participants multiple times from a single vantage point. Athlete numbers typically range from 900 to 1,000, giving it the feel of a genuine neighborhood race with a notable club presence, rather than a small, informal run. Recent winners include Gabriele Caroli and Lucia Mitidieri, with category results also noting strong age-group competitors. The race has re-emphasized its local character, featuring Romanesco music, team gazebos near Viale Mozart, and substantial post-race refreshments for all participants.
