The Corsa del Ricordo concludes its circuit in Latina with the Girolago di Fogliano, a race designed around Lake Fogliano instead of a typical city circuit. The Latina event features a 14.6 km run and a 7 km non-competitive walk, allowing runners and walkers to participate together at different paces. The series began in February in Rome and has included stops in Grosseto, Aversa, Catania, San Felice Circeo, Novara, Trieste, Milan, and Fertilia before its final race in Latina.
The Latina course encircles the lake, providing this edition with a backdrop focused on open water and scenery rather than city streets. Organized by Asi and ANVGD, the event serves as a sporting commemoration for the victims of the Foibe massacres and for Italians displaced after World War II. Its locations are selected in cities symbolically connected to this exodus, with organizers using the series to transmit family histories from older to younger generations. The Latina Girolago di Fogliano, now in its second edition, acts as the closing race of the circuit.
