Gravelliamo begins in Borgomanero, in the upper Novara region of northern Italy, and takes place in July as a non-competitive gravel cycling event. It focuses on the ride itself, not the competition: two days on mixed-surface roads through the Novara hills and around local lakes. The standard route choices are 45 km, 80 km, and 105 km, with elevation gains from 840 m on the short route to 1,130 m on the long route; the shorter ride is not entirely flat.
The course crosses the hills above Novara and follows Lake Orta. Some event details also mention a longer 200 km option extending towards Lake Varese. Participants can approach it as a relaxed gravel weekend, a cycling-tourism excursion, or a challenging brevet-style day, as the two longest routes qualify for the Gravel Ari brevet. The event is part of the Gravel Circus circuit. Practical arrangements include parking, food stops, changing facilities, and on-course support.
