IconicUP Ponte di Legno is a summer mountain bike race held in Ponte di Legno-Tonale, located in Valle Camonica where Stelvio Park meets Adamello Park. The race begins near the Ponte di Legno cable car station, directing participants onto a demanding alpine loop approximately 40 to 45 km long, featuring 1,650 to 1,700 meters of elevation gain. The inaugural event attracted over 200 athletes, establishing it as a significant mass-start MTB competition.
The course connects the historic villages of Villa Dalegno, Precasaglio, Sant'Apollonia, Pezzo, and Case di Viso, leading to the challenging ascent towards Rifugio Bozzi. The highest point reaches 2,400 meters, followed by a 7 km single-track descent offering views of the Adamello glaciers. Participants then descend through the Bike Park for a lengthy finish back in Ponte di Legno. Michele Guadagnini's victory in the men's race at 2:04 indicates the pace of top competitors on a course demanding both climbing skill and technical descending.
