La Regina 42K is a 42-kilometre run held in September in Italy’s Vicenza province. It begins early in Zanè and concludes at Sport Power Arena in Villaverla. Though listed as non-competitive, it employs bibs, electronic timing chips, and a medal. Runners have six hours to complete the course, with intermediate time checkpoints at the half marathon mark in Malo and later in Thiene.
The route connects several local towns instead of looping a single venue. Consequently, organizers provide a pre-race shuttle from Villaverla to the start and transport bags from the start to the finish. Aid stations are positioned every 5 km and at the finish. The race package includes medical support, showers, changing rooms, downloadable photos from the event's Facebook page, a personalized gadget, and a post-race pasta party.
