Orobieskyraid is a mountain trail race held in Ardesio, located in the Bergamo area of Lombardy, Italy. The next editions are typically scheduled for late July. The main Orobie Skyraid is a long skyrunning-style trail, measuring approximately 50 to 58 km depending on the year, with around 3,800 m of elevation gain in its longest format. A shorter Orobie Skyrace option has also been available at 23 km with 2,200 m of ascent, indicating the event caters to runners skilled in steep mountain terrain rather than flat-road speed.
The race crosses high, rocky trails within the Orobie Alps above Ardesio. Previous route details show Valcanale di Ardesio as the starting point for the Skyraid, while the shorter Skyrace has begun from Via Ponte in Fiumenero. The event is organized by Mario Poletti and Fly-Up Sport, and the primary race holds UTMB Index status. Results from a recent 58 km edition indicate just over 200 finishers, consistent with the character of a serious mountain race: large enough to attract a dedicated trail-running audience, yet still closely connected to the local valleys and alpine paths surrounding Ardesio.
