Semi-Marathon de Savone

The Savona Half Marathon is a road race held in Savona, on Italy's Ligurian coast, with the city as its base and the Mediterranean Sea nearby. The primary event is a 21.097 km half marathon, starting from Via Paleocapa. It is an officially homologated Fidal competition with a 2 hour 45 minute time limit. For those seeking a shorter distance, there is the non-competitive Ten 10K. Families can participate in the 4.100 km non-competitive Family Run, which begins at Piazza Sisto IV. The half marathon course extends beyond central Savona, leading participants through Albissola Marina, Albisola Superiore, and Vado Ligure before looping back to the start. The 10K follows a more concise route from Savona to Albissola, offering a coastal-city atmosphere without the full half marathon distance. This event has been held annually since 1998, attracting competitive athletes, local participants, international runners, families, and walkers. A distinctive feature is that the Family Run permits participants to run with dogs.
