The Semi-Marathon de Trente, also known as the Trento Running Festival, is a half marathon held in Trento, northern Italy. The main race covers the standard 21.097 km distance. It begins in Piazza Dante and concludes on the stone pavement of Piazza Duomo. The route remains focused on the city center, avoiding extensive travel into the countryside. The course is designed for speed, featuring one urban loop that is nearly flat. There is a brief 300-meter incline with a 2% gradient near the 10 km point, situated before Buonconsiglio Castle.
Participants will pass Torre Vanga, the contemporary Albere district, and the Renzo Piano-designed science museum before returning to Piazza Duomo. The event also features the Trento 10K, the Happy Family 5 km walk/run, and a 200 m race for children aged 2 to 8. This offers a full running weekend instead of a single race. Finishers receive a medal, t-shirt, digital diploma, and a post-race meal. The festival also includes the Trentino Wellness Expo, with concerts and entertainment.
