The Semi-Marathon Garda Trentino covers 21.097 km from Arco to Riva del Garda, with Lake Garda on one side and the Trentino mountains nearby. Held annually in Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region, recent editions have attracted approximately 5,000 runners from 76 countries. Alongside the main half marathon, there is a 10K, a 4K Run4Fun, and children’s and junior races, ensuring the weekend caters to more than just experienced road runners.
The route follows the Sarca river for a portion, utilizing the cycle path beside one of Trentino’s primary rivers before proceeding toward Torbole and Riva del Garda. Nordic walkers may also participate in the 21K, starting after the runners. The field frequently includes many German, Belarusian, and British participants, with the surrounding towns offering entertainment and local cuisine. Runner’s World recognized it among the world’s twenty most beautiful half marathons, fitting for a course crossing mountain slopes, river paths, and the northern reaches of Lake Garda.
