Sulle Orme di Leonardo is a cyclotourist ride in Prato, Tuscany, with an open start window in the morning instead of a single mass start. It is part of UISP cycling circuits, including the Italian cyclotourism criterium and the Tuscan cyclotourism circuit, and it also counts for UISP championship rankings. Riders collect plates and gather at the Emporio della Solidarietà, then move toward the marked start area before heading out under the Decathlon arch.
The routes head west from Prato into Leonardo country, passing Poggio a Caiano, Signa, Montelupo Fiorentino, and Vinci. The longer options go by Leonardo da Vinci’s house. The main long route is approximately 122 km with 1,700 m of climbing, the medium is about 107 km with 1,350 m, and the shorter option is about 67 km with 670 m. Although the event is mainly a cyclotourist ride, the winner is decided on Castra, a 6 km timed uphill section. Avis Verag Prato organizes it as the Raduno della Solidarietà, and the day concludes back in Prato on Via del Seminario, where the pasta party is held at the Emporio della Solidarietà.
