Triathlon Olimpico della Versilia is an Olympic-distance triathlon on Tuscany’s Versilia coast. Recent editions have been based in Marina di Pietrasanta, with earlier races also held in Lido di Camaiore. It is presented as a fast, end-of-season event. The first triathlon heat begins Sunday morning, following packet pickup and transition setup. The event offers athletes a late-season opportunity to test themselves on a known quick course and also serves as a Coppa Toscana stage.
The race has attracted about 300 athletes, including competitors from across Italy, from Trentino down to Sicily. The field has also included international entrants from Brazil, the United States, and Germany. In one edition, the swim started quickly, with the first athletes exiting the water in just over 15 minutes and several more within 30 seconds, aligning with the race’s “fast-fast-fast” description. The format uses separate heats, with men starting first and women following the male waves.
