Triathlon Olimpico Lago di Vico is a medium-distance triathlon held at Poggio Cavaliere in Italy’s Viterbo province, Latium region. The race utilizes the lake: athletes begin on the beach behind a marked tape, swim two 750-meter laps, and then proceed through a short channel to transition approximately 70 meters from the water exit. It is a lake-and-nature event, with swim logistics determined by beach access, buoys, flags, and an inflatable arch at the exit.
The swim proceeds clockwise, passing two yellow buoys on the right and an orange buoy marking the finish line back to shore. The bike course is fully closed to traffic and follows a 10 km out-and-back road toward San Martino al Cimino, repeated four times. This ride is moderately hilly, making the race more than a flat speed test; pacing is important after the repeated lake swim and before the final discipline.
