Val di Fassa Running is a multi-day running stage race in Val di Fassa, in the Dolomites of northern Italy, held in June. The format is a “giro podistico a tappe,” with a prologue followed by five stages, meaning runners come for a week of racing rather than a single start and finish.
The competitive version maintains the traditional distance and climbing across the five stages, totaling about 42 km, roughly a marathon spread over several days. A non-competitive Camminatori option is available for walkers, with separate rules from the racing field. The prologue finishes in Canazei and is followed by a pasta party, music, entertainment, a weekly program presentation, and a technical briefing for the remaining stages. Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi organizes the race, which is marking its 25th edition.
