The Valdambra Trail begins and ends in Badia Agnano, a village in the province of Arezzo, Tuscany, taking place over an October weekend. This mountain trail-running series offers races ranging from a 15 km short course to the Goro Trail, approximately 110 km with 4,700 m of elevation gain. The event also features a 20 km trekking route and a non-competitive 15 km Easy Bachino, ensuring the weekend caters to more than just ultrarunners.
The courses traverse wooded paths and wilder trails in the Valdambra region, featuring consistent climbs even on shorter distances. The 15 km Bachino includes about 700 m of gain, and the 31 km Bastiano has around 1,500 m. For middle-distance options, runners can select the Fattoressa, about 45 km, or the Disertore, around 60-64 km, both offering sufficient ascent to be considered substantial mountain races. The races are integrated into the UTMB Index system, relevant for participants accumulating qualifying results for major trail events.
