The PSS Imperial Palace Health Run in Tokyo offers flexibility, allowing participants to decide on the day whether to complete one loop or more. This relaxed June event invites runners to experience the classic palace-loop route, with options ranging from a single 5 km lap to four laps totaling approximately 20 km. The event welcomes runners of all levels, including beginners, seniors, juniors, and experienced athletes, fostering a deliberately informal atmosphere. Same-day registration is permitted, and minor delays at the start are not considered problematic.
The course consists of repeated laps around the Imperial Palace, enabling runners to modify their distance during the event. Participants can stop after one lap if they wish, or continue for more distance if they feel capable. The organizers have a single request: participants should not leave discreetly halfway through due to fatigue. They specifically point out Takebashi as a location where some runners have reportedly departed by train, an exit from the course mid-run that the organizers prefer to avoid.
