6e Heksenheuvel Tocht

At the Heksenheuveltocht, off-road riders choose between mountain-bike and gravel routes rather than lining up for a single road race. TWC Nederweert organizes the ride, and the sixth edition is planned for a Sunday in October. The previous edition ran in late autumn and introduced new routes. The route information is brief, but the organizers reported the tracks were in good condition the day before the ride. The event also brought in BMX rider Isa van der Velden from Ospel for a Meet & Greet; she is a Dutch champion and was still only sixteen. Her BMX racing gives the day a sharper cycling link: riders launch from a start block, sprint through a technical track, jump bumps, fight for the best line through turns, and the winner can finish in under forty seconds.
