A.V. Climax Horaloop 2026

The A.V. Climax Horaloop takes runners into the hills of Hoekelumse Bos and the Renkumse beek valley near Ede in Gelderland. This late-November running event includes youth races, 5 km, 10 km, and 10 English mile options (16.1 km). Organized by A.V. Climax, the race has over fifty editions, establishing it as a local fixture. Each distance features a single-lap course. Most runners can select between paved bike paths and unpaved road or path sides. The start area has an informal atmosphere: participants arrive with timing chips and bibs, park on a large grass field with volunteer assistance, warm up near Hoekelum, and converse with runners from local clubs before the start. The Climax Roparun team also participates, collecting donations for cancer patients and operating a stall offering cake, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
