Aeresfitrun 2026

The AeresFitrun begins and ends at Aeres MBO on Jansoniusstraat in Leeuwarden. Three distances are offered: a 1 km Kidsrun, a 5 km race, and a 10 km race. This is a small, local running event for children and adults, organized by AV Lionitas, an athletics club affiliated with the Atletiekunie. Entry is online only, with registration available until shortly before the start; there is no on-site registration. The 5 km and 10 km routes go through the aqueduct towards Zuiderburen. The 10 km route includes an additional loop around the Tearnzer Wielen. Youth participants in the Kidsrun receive a medal, while other runners may purchase one. The event provides essential facilities: changing rooms, showers, first aid, parking, refreshments during and after the race, and public transport access. Leeuwarden Achter de Hoven station is located less than a kilometer from the finish.
