Bevrijdingsloop is a local road race in Kampen, Overijssel, held in April to honor the city's liberation. It starts and finishes at the AV Isala '96 athletics track at sportpark Hagenbroek. AV Isala '96 and the Kamper Oranje Vereniging organize the event together. The program is designed for the entire community, not just serious runners, with organizers anticipating over 1,400 participants.
The main open race is the Kamper Mijl, a 1,609-meter run for individuals aged 13 and up, suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike. Younger children have separate distances: 500 meters for six-year-olds, and 900 meters for ages 7 to 12, with teachers participating in this group. The youngest runners begin in the late afternoon, followed by the Kamper Mijl in the evening, lending the day a school-and-club atmosphere alongside the race itself.
