Devil's Trail - Schiermonnikoog (Day Trail) 2026

Devil's Trail - Schiermonnikoog is a two-day trail running event on Schiermonnikoog, one of the Dutch Wadden Islands. The daytime trail begins and ends at Recreatieboerderij De Oorsprong, leading runners directly into open island terrain. Options include 15 km and 30 km for the main daytime races, alongside a broader program with 10 km, night, and kids' runs. The route crosses Schiermonnikoog, incorporating elements that distinguish it from an inland race: sea, beach, dunes, dikes, salt marshes, and, depending on conditions, wind. The 30 km race is named the Brakzand Trail, and the 15 km race is the Kobbeduinen Trail. Stichting Ox organizes the event, providing on-site runner facilities such as changing areas, showers, first aid, AEDs, and parking.
