Drenthe Trail

The Drenthe Trail Run is a winter trail race held in Norg, located in the Noord-Drenthe region of the Netherlands. Participants can select routes from 7 kilometers up to 42 kilometers, with various distances available in between. This allows the event to cater to individuals seeking a brief off-road run as well as those preparing for a marathon-distance trail race. The course follows unpaved paths through the natural landscapes of Noord-Drenthe, avoiding city streets or repetitive road-race circuits. This event runs concurrently with the Drenthe 200 and attracts a significant annual gathering, having previously seen over 1,200 runners at the start. Accounts from prior races note moderate winter conditions and a robust participation, aligning with the race's straightforward draw: a winter day spent on soft terrain in the Dutch countryside.
