GrenzmEIster Gravel starts in Eibergen in the Dutch Achterhoek, close enough to the border that the longer routes spend much of the day in Germany. It is a new cross-border gravel ride with three distance options, listed by the organizer as 49, 73, and 93 km, with similar 50, 75, and 95 km labels used elsewhere. Every route is GPX-only, so riders need to navigate from their own device rather than follow arrows on the road.
The 73 km and 93 km courses go mostly over German ground, while all distances include a rest stop with warm bouillon, an egg cake, and a currant bun. After returning to the start, riders can trade their wristband for one drink and a broodje ei, an egg sandwich they cook themselves on a griddle with other cyclists. Solo riders can join a social ride group start, and the bar stays open after the ride.
