Haag Atletiek Vogelwijkloop

The Vogelwijkloop is a free recreational running event in The Hague, located at the Haag Atletiek sports park and routed through the Vogelwijk neighborhood. It takes place in September, offering short, paved races: children’s 1 km runs, a 3 km performance run, and a 5 km street race. Haag Atletiek organizes it with support from the Vogelwijk neighborhood association. The 3 km and 5 km races begin with a lap on the athletics track, proceed onto the streets, and conclude back on the track. The event welcomes a wide range of participants, including walkers, Running Blind participants, frame runners, Fit Walkers, Power Walkers, Old Stars, children, beginners, and club runners. The 5 km race contributes to the HAAG112 annual classification, and Vogelwijk also features its own street competition, awarding prizes based on the combined times of each street’s three fastest runners.
