Halve marathon van Katwijk 2026

The Halve van Katwijk begins and ends at Duinplein, by the Katwijk Lighthouse in Katwijk aan Zee. This September event offers running and walking on paved paths, with distances ranging from 2 km to the half marathon. The half marathon is the primary race, described by organizers as scenic yet demanding. Strong demand has led to early registration closure in previous years, meaning it is not a race that can always be entered last minute. The course follows Katwijk’s coastline, incorporating the boulevard, dunes, beach sections, and paths through Nationaal Park Hollandse Duinen. A Business Run is available for teams. The shorter distances accommodate walkers, beginners, club runners, and those not yet ready for the half marathon. Organized by AV Rijnsoever, the event maintains historical results and has the character of an autumn tradition. Previous participants have described the course as enchanting, difficult, and a significant challenge.
