Havenloop Elburg

Havenloop Elburg begins and ends by the old harbor in Elburg, a fortified town in Gelderland. This annual June running event includes youth races, 5 km and 10 km options, and shorter distances for younger or less experienced runners. The start and finish are located around Havenkade, Visafslag Elburg, and De Loswal, integrating the harbor from the initial meters to the finish line. The route crosses the harbor area, the historic center, and streets surrounding the old fortress town, passing monuments, museums, and the old port. The course is predominantly flat, with minor inclines, suitable for beginners yet offering a challenge to experienced runners. Local participants join those from outside the region. The event originated from the Wallenloop organization; following a missed year, it resumed with distinct youth and adult courses.
