Hel van de Peel

Hel van de Peel is a 100-kilometer MTB and gravel marathon starting in Liessel, North Brabant. It typically takes place in late September, with the long distance beginning early in the morning. The event is fully signposted and intended for riders seeking a challenging off-road day, not a brief local circuit. The route crosses the Peel region, crossing natural areas within North Brabant and North Limburg. Participants will encounter singletrack, sandy paths, gravel sections, forests, and heathland, featuring varied surfaces, ascents, and technical turns that challenge both physical condition and bike control. A unique aspect is the temporary access granted to certain nature areas, which are usually closed to cyclists. Marmatrimmers organizes the event, and the route builders modify the course each year rather than reusing the same tracks.
