Kempen Run

The Kempen Run begins and concludes in Hapert's center, a village in North Brabant, directing runners into the Brabantse Kempen region near Bladel and Reusel. This yearly road race features a half marathon as its longest distance, alongside shorter options: 10 km, 6.5 km, a 1 km Kids Run, and a 700 m Rode Neuzen Run for the youngest participants. The half marathon course is a single loop on roads and bike paths, offering a local village race feel that soon expands into wooded areas and open countryside. The course utilizes the Kempen's wooded environment instead of a confined stadium circuit, with aid stations and medical assistance provided. The event accommodates a wide range of participants: children, recreational runners, half-marathon competitors, and faster club athletes can all select an appropriate distance. Race day amenities are located at MFA Hart van Hapert, offering changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and late registration, with parts of the village center closed for the event. Post-race, the event maintains a social atmosphere with music and food; recent years have seen over 1,600 participants.
