Parelrun Eersel begins on Eersel's historic market square, sending participants from the village center toward the surrounding forest and heathland. Organized by AV DES, this annual event offers a 5 km and 10 km trimloop for recreational runners and a 15 km race for competitive participants. The schedule also features the SterrenStrand Kidsrun, a G-Run, a relay, a rollers event, and shorter distances, with a cap of 1,200 participants.
The courses combine Eersel’s streets with natural paths outside the village. The marked routes cater to both recreational runners and trimlopers, not exclusively fast club athletes. The event is designed to remain accessible and affordable, allowing local and regional runners to participate on the same day. A unique element is the MERAS Neurorun, a 750-meter course for individuals with non-congenital brain injury. Changing rooms are available, and late registration is permitted if the participant limit is not met.
