Lage Vuursche Trail

The Lage Vuursche Trail begins at Natuurcamping De Zeven Linden and crosses the wooded region between Soest, Baarn, and Lage Vuursche. This trail race occurs biannually, offering participants the choice of one, two, or three loops, each approximately 10 km. The available distances are around 10 km, 20-21 km, and 30-34 km, featuring moderate elevation gains of roughly 44, 89, and 114 meters, respectively. The course winds through Royal forests and natural areas connecting Paleis Soestdijk, Drakensteyn, and Kasteel Groenewoud. Participants will encounter singletrack paths, sandy trails, forest tracks, and historic lanes formerly used by carriages serving the area's large estates. This race format allows runners to experience varied loops across different seasons, presenting the same race environment with a distinct character for each edition.
