Mensinge Marathon 2027

The Mensinge Marathon begins in Roden, Drenthe, organized by Loopgroep Roden. This winter running event takes place on a Sunday morning in February, offering several distances: 17, 25, 34, and 43 kilometers. A 10-kilometer option was added for the anniversary edition to attract more local runners from Noordenveld. The course winds through the Mensingebos and Alteveer, featuring forests, open Drenthe landscapes, and historic farms. It attracts regional runners who appreciate the relaxed local atmosphere. Anniversary reports also note participants traveling from further afield, including young people from the Randstad visiting for the weekend. Spectators line sections of the route with music and signs, offering encouragement. Finishers receive local delicacies and a medal.
