Menzis 4 Mijl van Groningen

The Menzis 4 Mijl van Groningen is a 4-mile run from Haren to the Vismarkt in the heart of Groningen. It is held annually on the second weekend of October and is the largest running festival in the Northern Netherlands, with tens of thousands of participants. The route is a traditional 6.4 km point-to-point course into the city center. Spectators line the roads, and music along the course gives the event a street-party atmosphere. The event has run every year since 1987.
