Piterrun & Walk Lippenhuizen

Piterrun & PiterWalk Lippenhuizen is a small recreational run-and-walk event in Friesland, set in the Koningsdiep valley with a finish in Lippenhuizen village. Runners can select 20.6 km, 10.7 km, or 6.4 km, and walkers have 20.6 km and 10.7 km options; a separate listing shows 9 km, 12 km, and 22 km distances. The event has a 500-person limit, giving it the feel of a local gathering with village residents rather than a large-scale competition. The longest route begins at Smalle Ee, with shorter routes starting from Kortehemmen and Beetsterzwaag; buses transport participants to their respective start points. A significant portion of the course follows unpaved paths through forests and estates between Smalle Ee and Lippenhuizen. The organizers adjust the course every two years. Refreshments and music are available at 't Trefpunt, and the anniversary event saw 450 participants in sunny, unseasonably warm conditions.
