Rabo Mescherbergloop

The Rabo Mescherbergloop takes runners into the Savelsbos, located near Eijsden and Mesch in the southern tip of Limburg. Here, Dutch running feels considerably hillier than many anticipate. This annual Maasrunners event is a long-standing fixture among mountain runs in the Netherlands, offering race distances of approximately 6.1 km, 10 km, 16.1 km, and 21.1 km, alongside a Kidsrun for younger participants. All races commence and conclude at Pisartlaan in Eijsden. The shorter courses follow field paths and forest trails with undulating terrain. The 16 km route incorporates additional ascents and a 180-step staircase within the Savelsbos. Those seeking a hilly challenge without the stairs can opt for the 10 km loop. The event provides essential race-day amenities, including changing facilities, showers, first aid, parking, and the option to purchase MBL shirts when registering.
