Runforestrun Drentsche Aa 2027

The Runforestrun Drentsche Aa begins and ends in Gasteren, a village in Drenthe, northern Netherlands. This trail run takes place in Nationaal Park Drentsche Aa, typically near the beginning of spring, offering three distance options: approximately 14 km, 24 km, and 43 km. The courses follow park trails through Balloërveld, Gasterse Duinen, Strubben-Kniphorst bos, and Evertsbos. Participants will encounter heathland, dunes, forest, and open vistas within this protected landscape. The event is limited to around 600 participants. The race originated from a concept proposed over a decade ago by Winfried Bats of adam & events, an organizer known for his preference for long UltraTrail-style events.
