Rûnom Mantgum 2026

Rûnom Mantgum starts and finishes at MFC De Wjukken in Mantgum, at Om 'e Terp 21. It is a local running event with 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km options, all starting at 11 AM, plus a Sponsorloop for primary school children at 10:15 AM. Runners use bibs with timing chips, so each participant gets a personal net time. The most distinctive option is the 15 km trail run, which leaves the road for meadows and stretches of old tsjerkepaad, the church paths around the village. The route gives runners access to places they normally would not be able to run. Children in the Sponsorloop all receive a medal, and the event also raises money for Stichting Doch Dyn Dream, which helps more than 200 children in Matunda, West Kenya, with safe housing and education.
