Skoatterwald run 2026

The Skoatterwâld Run begins and ends on the grass field next to MFA De Spil at Schoterplein 48 in Heerenveen. This local running event in Skoatterwâld is being held for the thirteenth time, featuring 5 km and 10 km races that commence late in the morning, following the children’s warm-up and school runs. Participants can opt for a single 5 km lap or complete two laps for the 10 km distance. The venue provides changing rooms, toilets, and parking facilities. The primary course presents a slightly undulating terrain, incorporating both paved and unpaved sections. The route remains largely consistent with previous years. Younger primary school students compete in an 800 m race near MFA De Spil, passing by De Burcht and Het Slingertouw schools, while older students participate in a newer 1800 m run. The event is designed with families and local runners in mind, rather than attracting a large-city field.
