Stratenloop Sevenum is a Saturday evening street race held in Sevenum, a village in Limburg. It is designed for a wide local participation, featuring a parent-child run, kids run, school run, 5 km, and 10 km. This allows families, school groups, beginners, and faster runners to participate in the same event. The main races are the De Schatberg 5 Km and the Leef Vrij 10 Km. Younger participants have the Mediakracht Kidsrun, the Abc Sevenum Scholenloop, and the Nh1816 Ouder/kindloop.
The course winds through the streets in the center of Sevenum. The shorter and longer race options allow participants to choose between a relaxed evening run or a competitive 10 km race. The event resumed after a 25-year hiatus and quickly attracted 1,000 registrations, with a cap of 1,200 entries. It relies heavily on the local community: spectators line the route, volunteers and sponsors are actively involved, and the field includes individuals aiming for personal bests alongside groups of friends running together.
