Sylvesterloop Elsloo

Sylvesterloop Elsloo is a New Year's Eve running event in Elsloo, held on the last day of the year and named after Sylvester evening. It is designed for a broad range of participants, not just a specific type of runner, offering 10 km and 5 km races for adults and shorter youth runs for younger participants. The routes traverse the village and the surrounding countryside, combining streets with nearby nature. The program features a 1.5 km run for ages 13 and up, a 1.28 km kids' run for ages 10 to 12, and a 0.64 km kids' run for children up to 9. Facilities include changing rooms, first aid, and parking near the start and finish, and the day typically concludes with shared drinks, occasionally accompanied by food.
